No worries! I love this one as much as I do your last one - is this the same girl? The water and the skies blend perfectly and create a great feeling of openness and possibility, combined with calm. Though I can't help but wonder what the pillar structures are...
It feels almost like a snapshot. Beautiful. -- I believe that if someone's creation is not put out in the world without either fervent joy, fierce hope, heartfelt sorrow, or anger at injustice, it is doomed to failure. Come check out my dA writing at [link] *headtilt* Love it!!
I keep getting the feeling that something's about to happen, or we're all going to slide off of the Earth, or that he's walking on water...it's a tingly feeling, like knowing I'm approaching the Next Level 8D I love how he stands out...and especially his clothes. I'M JEALOUS~XD -- What if there was an attack on Pokemon called Epic Win? Picture this: "insert Pokemon here" used EPIC WIN! ...EPIC WIN failed. When joyful, dance! It does a body good |

The thing that I think makes the atmosphere so calming and so appealing is that the water and the sky are the same color and the light minimal shadows give it the surreal sense of lighting.
Another thing that I think helps make the picture, is the lack of black. The dark places are a lighter color then black, even if it is by a little, the blue-ish tint really adds to the over all scheme.
The only thing that I can see is that takes away from the over all image a bit is the upper right corner of the image. The composition is a little weak up there. It doesn't take away from the picture, but I think, adding something like one of those check shaped birds or another little cloud will help to activate it a little more.
You did a very wonderful job on the picture. I look forward to seeing more from you.
Although - if I look very closely - I can see a few mistakes here and there (namely where the pillars make contact with the water or with the character's left foot) the wonderful use of colors completely make up for it. Not to mention the spectacular mirror-effect the water gives. It's like looking at two different worlds - one the opposite of the other, yet so alike one with the other ... both of them being mysterious and both simply fascinating.
When I look at this, I feel at peace - I am not sure if it's because of the calmness of the picture given by it's simplicity or because of the position of the character right between these two worlds (the world of air and the world of water) like he/she would belong to both - yet none at the same time.
I am not compleately sure what makes me like this picture so much - but all I know is that this has something ... something special that I can't quite grasp. But I know it's there, and for that I will congratulate you for making such such a wonderful piece of art, and thank you for sharing it with us.
